The Program

THE GARO METHOD OF MENTAL FITNESS™ is a new, positive, and unique self-help audio program for children, teenagers, and adults focusing on the mental aspect for self-improvement.  This series was created to help "improve and maximize" self-esteem, academic performance, athletic ability, or virtually any aspect of life, while at the same time getting people relaxed, stress-free, feeling good about themselves, focused, and "in the zone" for their exams and athletic competitions.  Although this series was originally created for all teenagers, both boys and girls alike, ages 13 through 18, it is also being successfully used by grammar school students, parents, teachers, coaches, professionals, college students and athletes, physically challenged, special education students, grandparents, senior citizens, and professional athletes.

The program is designed to cover as many issues as possible, including such topics as: values, decision-making, peer pressure, manners, politeness, fear, test and athletic anxiety, happiness, confidence, creativity, attractiveness, intelligence, studying, homework, preparation, concentration, test taking, communication, comprehension, participation, motivation, practice, effort, success, goals, bullying, camaraderie, respect, responsibility, friendship, appreciation, sportsmanship, health, strength, energy, perseverance, discipline, leadership, and athletic performance.  The program can be used for all academics, team and individual sports, including, but not limited to: math, history, science, English, reading, speech, forensics, SAT/ACT, choir, band, dance, modeling, acting, drama, football, basketball, baseball, track and field, cross-country, volleyball, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, equestrian, tennis, golf, skiing, bicycling, bowling, gymnastics, cheerleading, swimming and diving, crew, wrestling, boxing, martial arts, and weightlifting.  The program has also been used for general overall fitness, weight loss,  and better sleeping.

Not including the introduction, which states how and why the program was developed, how and when to use the program, and what you should expect from using the program, the series is divided into four individual sessions, which includes a separate session devoted to each of the following areas: improving your self-esteem, improving your academic performance, and improving your athletic ability.  The fourth, or "bonus" session, is designed to improve all three areas (self-esteem, academics, and athletics) in one condensed session.  Each of these four sessions will include progressive relaxation techniques, visualization, guided imagery, positive suggestions, and original, comforting and soothing music.  Be prepared to visit a different serene location, as each session takes you to a quiet, peaceful place, which allows you to become completely "relaxed and stress free", while at the same time improving your self-esteem, academic performance, and athletic ability.

The program is arranged so that it can be listened to each day in virtually any place of your choosing, such as in the privacy of your home, office, work, classroom, library, gymnasium, athletic field, an outdoor setting, or at some other quiet, comfortable location, without the need for an instructor, text, or manual.  You may listen to these sessions in any order that you wish, or you may listen to only the session that you feel directly affects your own personal situation.  The more often that you listen to the program, the better results you will experience.  This series is available on either a two-CD or three-Cassette format, with each of these four sessions lasting approximately twenty-five minutes.
